Summer is almost upon us! The trees and flowers are blooming, the weathers warming up, which means summer is coming soon! Some of you parents may be starting to think about summer camps. If you’re in New Jersey you’re in luck, ABC Spectrum offers a couple different summer camps to preschoolers and kids going into kindergarten.
Summer Camp ACE is catered to the kids that will be entering kindergarten in September, and kids entering the first grade. This summer camp runs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Friday mornings. This summer camp keeps it fresh and interesting for the kids, they introduce a new theme every 2 weeks, working on; visual discrimination, perceiving rhyme, letters sounds, matching words. That’s not all, they will also do some writing activities with the kids, this will include organizing information, printing letters, communicating ideas and more. Last but not least, they kids will also be doing some math activities which will focus on relationships of shapes, ordering and sorting, measurement, spatial relationships and terminology.
ABC Spectrum School will be engaged in activities that will help them segment into individual sounds and blend the sounds into whole words. The kids will also be exposed to interesting and conceptually rich literature which will provide daily opportunities for kids to write and build their vocabulary.
